To shorten the summer break, let’s take a look at the recap of the third Porsche Sprint Challenge Central Europe stop in Tor Poznan, Poland 🙂
For the first of three races I secured the fifth starting position – even though the qualifying was in wet conditions and I usually prefer dry ones. After the first turn I was already on P3, but got involved in an accident which was caused by two cars spinning ahead of me. That’s why I wasn’t able to finish the race.
The damage on the left front of my Porsche luckily was repaired by my team and I was able to start the second one, this time from P4. I felt really good in my car and kept my position until the end, finishing on second position in my class!
In the third and last race of the weekend, the endurance one, it was raining again. The track conditions were quite a big challenge for me, because you are alone in the car for one hour and have to be fully concentrated. That’s why I’m especially happy with my performance: ending up on the podium in my class with P3!
Looking back I have to say that I’m proud of myself and the steps forward I’ve made. I feel better handling the car in the rain and that’s why I’m extremely happy with the weekend.
I’d like to thank my amazing team for their hard work, getting my Porsche ready for the second race! I couldn’t have done it without them.
The next weekend of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Central Europe is going to be on September 13 and 14 in Most.
